Advanced Passive (Продвинутый пассив)

Passive — когда действие совершается “над” объектом. Но в продвинутой грамматике встречаются особые конструкции:

1. Пассив с инфинитивом/модальным глаголом

Modal + be + V3:
The problem can be solved.
The question must be answered.
To be + V3 (пассивный инфинитив):
It is important to be understood.
The report needs to be finished.
To have been + V3 (перфектный пассивный инфинитив):
He is said to have been seen in London.

2. Безличная пассивная конструкция (it is said, he is thought...)

Имперсональная форма (It is said...)	Личная форма (He is said...)
It is said that ... It is said that she speaks five languages.	He/She is said to ... + инфинитив She is said to speak five languages. В прошедшем времени: to have + V3 He is believed to have left the country.

⚠️ Не путай с обычным пассивом: Passive — “the car was washed by ...”, Causative — “I had my car washed”.

Participial constructions (Причастные обороты)

Причастные обороты используют Present Participle (V-ing) и Past Participle (V3) для сокращения сложных предложений и добавления более формального или книжного стиля.

Путаница: I had my hair cut (кто-то подстриг!) ≠ I cut my hair (сам подстриг!).
После causative всегда V3, не to V1: get/have something done, не to do.

✔ Arriving at the station, I saw the train leaving. (иначе двусмысленно!)
Не забывай: в академическом письме advanced passive часто звучит формальнее, чем обычный.

Collective nouns — собирательные существительные в английском языке

Что такое collective noun?

Collective nouns — это существительные, которые называют группу людей, животных или вещей как единое целое. В русском их часто переводят как “группа”, “команда”, “куча”, “стая” и т.п.:
team, family, group, class, crowd, herd, flock и т.д.

Важно: по-английски такие слова могут сочетаться как с единственным, так и с множественным числом глагола!
Отличие от обычных множественных: Collective noun = 1 группа (как "it"), а не "они".

Как согласовывать глагол с collective noun?

В британском английском:
- Можешь использовать и единственное, и множественное число глагола, в зависимости от смысла:
  - Единственное число (единица):
    The team is winning. (Вся команда выиграла как единое целое)
  - Множественное число (члены группы “каждый сам”):
    The team are taking their seats. (Каждый игрок садится отдельно)
В американском английском: предпочитают всегда единственное число (The class is... The family is...) (если речь не о конкретных людях/индивидах группы)

Совет: Для ОГЭ/ЕГЭ и формальных текстов — выбирай единственное число (is/was/has), если речь идёт о группе как об “одном целом”.

≠ обычное множественное число!

Collective noun: The police are coming. (искл.! — police всегда во множественном)
Plural noun: The dogs are eating. (обычные собаки — именно много штук)

Частые ловушки (типичные ошибки)

❌ The class are very big. → ✔ The class is very big.
❌ The team play very well. (если имеется в виду вся команда) → ✔ The team plays very well.
❌ My family are from different cities. (если о семье вообще) → ✔ My family is from different cities.
❌ The police is coming. → ✔ The police are coming. (Police — всегда во множественном!)
❌ The group are interesting. (группа как единое целое — is!)

Note: Такие существительные, как people, police, cattle — по-английски всегда во множественном числе!

Краткая памятка

Team, family, class, group, crowd, jury, staff, audience — обычно единственное число (is/has/does), но если акцент на отдельных членах — множественное (are/have/do).
Police, people, cattle, poultry, scissors, trousers — только множественное (are/have).
Артикль the — если речь про конкретную группу (“The jury was...”, “The staff are...”), “a/an” — если про какой-то неуточнённый коллектив.

Примеры в предложениях

Что значит There is / There are?

Оборот There is / There are используется, чтобы сказать, что что-то (или кто-то) находится где-то или существует что-то в определённом месте. По-русски обычно: “На столе лежит книга” (буквально “есть на столе книга”).

Главные правила:

На что обратить особое внимание!

В русском языке предложение начинается с предмета (“Книга лежит … на столе”), в английском — с There is/are — предмет появляется ПОСЛЕ глагола!
Если перечисляется сразу несколько предметов, первое слово определяет is/are:
There is a pen and two books on the desk.
There are two books and a pen on the desk.
Для неисчисляемых используем is — there is milk, music.

Типичные ошибки!

❌ Is there many apples? — ‘many’ — всегда сочетается с are!
✔ Are there many apples?
❌ There is two dogs in the room. — два! → are
✔ There are two dogs…
❌ There is some books on the table. some + books — множественное число!
✔ There are some books…
❌ There are much water in the bottle. water — неисчисляемое, всегда is
✔ There is much water…

Что такое Quantifiers?

Quantifiers — это слова, которые показывают количество. Они отвечают на вопросы "сколько?" (how much? how many?) и могут заменять слова "много", "не много", "немного", "достаточно" и т.д.

Главные правила: какого типа существительное?

Исчисляемые (countable)
яблоки, книги, друзья

Неисчисляемые (uncountable)
молоко, сахар, музыка

Примеры:
apples, ideas, people, chairs, mistakes — всегда можно посчитать
water, money, advice, bread, information — нельзя посчитать поштучно!

Короткая шпаргалка!

MUCH — c неисчисляемыми, вопросы/отрицания. ("How much sugar?", "There isn’t much time.")
(не используется в утверждении: "I have much money" ❌)
MANY — c исчисляемыми во множественном числе, вопросы/отрицания. ("How many books?", "We haven’t got many friends.")
A LOT OF / LOTS OF — универсальные для обоих типов, подходят для утвердительных, вопросов, отрицаний.
A FEW / A LITTLE — немного, но достаточно ("a few apples" — достаточно яблок, "a little milk" — хватает молока)
FEW / LITTLE — мало и НЕ достаточно, почти нет ("few friends" — у меня почти нет друзей; "little time" — почти нет времени)
PLENTY OF — даже больше, чем достаточно!

На что обратить особое внимание?

Much/many НЕ используются в утвердительных предложениях про “много” в обычном разговоре. Используй a lot of / lots of:
❌ I have much books.
✔ I have a lot of books.
Few — мало и не хватает. A few — немного, но хватит!
❌ I have few friends. (у меня почти нет друзей, жаль)
✔ I have a few friends. (у меня есть друзья, всё ок)
То же с little / a little:
❌ I have little money (= почти нет, беда)
✔ I have a little money (= не много, но мне хватит)
Plenty of — всегда “с избытком”, отлично для позитивных утверждений!

Типичные ошибки

❌ I have much friends. → ✔ I have a lot of friends.
❌ There are much people here. → ✔ There are many people here.
❌ There is a few water in the glass. → ✔ There is a little water in the glass.
❌ I need few information. → ✔ I need a little information.
❌ I have many money. → ✔ I have a lot of money / much money (in questions/negatives ONLY!)
❌ There is little apples. → ✔ There are few apples.
❌ Plenty of people doesn’t come. → ✔ Plenty of people don’t come.
(people — всегда во множественном числе!)

Для чего нужны эти слова?

Иногда мы не хотим повторять одно и то же существительное или говорим о нескольких похожих предметах. В таких случаях используем one / ones, another, other, the other, others.

One / Ones — “один/другие” ВМЕСТО существительного

One (вместо ед.ч. существительного):
I have a red pen and a blue one.
(= blue pen)

Ones (вместо мн.ч. существительного):
I need small cups. Give me the small ones.
(= small cups)

⚠️ One/ones никогда не используются самостоятельно — только когда понятно, о каком существительном речь!

This bag is cheaper than that one.
I like big books, not small ones.

Another / Other / The Other / Others

❗ Различия: Сравни!
another	ещё один, другой (ещё такой же, любой другой из многих, ед.ч.) Can I have another cup of tea?
other	другие (ещё какие-то, любые из оставшихся, перед сущ. во мн.ч. или неисчисляемыми) Do you have other questions?
the other	оставшийся/второй (конкретный, единственный другой) I have two cats. One is black, the other is white.
others	другие (заполняют пропуск, без существительного) Some students are here, others are absent.
the others	все остальные (конкретная известная группа) Five people came; the others were late.

На что обратить внимание?

another — только единственное число! (another question, another cup, another time)
other — перед существительными во множественном числе или неисчисляемыми (other days, other information)
the other — если речь идёт о конкретной “второй/оставшейся” вещи или человеке
others/the others — самостоятельные, употребляются без существительного

Часто путают:
— Want another apple? — Хочешь ещё одно?
— Want the other apple? — Хочешь то (второе/оставшееся) яблоко?
— Want other apples? — Хочешь другие яблоки?
— Want the others? — Хочешь остальных (яблок/людей)?

❌ She has another friends. → ✔ She has other friends. (many!)
❌ I need the another copy. → ✔ I need another copy.
