Герундий – одна из безличных форм глагола. Герундий иногда еще называют отглагольным существительным, поскольку он имеет с существительными много общего. Герундий образуется посредством добавления к глаголу окончания –ing. Герундий может употребляться в активном или пассивном залоге в настоящем или прошедшем времени.
Герундий употребляется после предлогов, а так же после определенных глаголов (см. ниже)
